In 2023, the three e-paper products in the Chinese market (all sold more than 100,000 units) are also very competitive and often arrange to release blockbuster new products on similar days on the same day. For example, on October 12 last year, Palm Reading released four new products in one go, including the first 10.65 on the market. inch, the 300PPI Smart X3; and Aragonite launched the first Tab10 C Pro equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 series processor on the same day.
One week later (April 23), the same situation will occur again. Zhangyue and Aragonite will hold their own new product launch conferences, and the time is also 7 pm Beijing time. According to the warm-up promotion on Aragonite’s official Weibo , they will launch two new models of Note X3 Youth Edition and Note X3 Pro in black and white over 10 inches. It is estimated that the two new models of Aragonite will be upgraded to use 300PPI panels, and the youth version may be a pure reading version without handwriting function. The detailed configuration and price of the new phone will be announced at the press conference.
At the same time, iReader has announced that it will launch the 10-inch or larger iReader Smart 5, an e-book reader equipped with an 8-core CPU, boasting 300PPI, a flexible screen, and a plain leather back panel with a metal frame. This device will use the SmartOS 2.0 operating system, support handwriting recording functions, and provide a variety of smart templates such as schedule management and Cornell notes. In addition, iReader Smart 5 is expected to support third-party applications (no longer closed!) and integrate AI functions, making this device more scalable and practical than the previous generation.
