神秘面世的Daylight Tablet,一款號稱使用特殊電子紙技術的平板電腦

The mysterious Daylight Tablet is launched, a tablet computer that claims to use special electronic paper technology

Recently, a Youtube channel (ePaper E-ink eReader -Webtoolo com) released two demonstration videos about Daylight Tablet, a new RLCD device, which attracted the attention of European and American netizens. This tablet with rounded corners and a rather special appearance (the panel is estimated to be about 10 inches) was launched by Daylight Computer Company.

The Daylight Tablet advertises the use of a special type of electronic paper called LivePaper, which is similar to the Pebble watch. It is a reflective rather than emissive panel (so it is estimated to use RLCD technology), so it puts less pressure on the eyes. The tablet has a front light, but it doesn't emit blue light or generate pulse-width modulation (PWM). It will provide a 60Hz refresh rate for smooth video playback. In terms of specifications, currently only this Youtube video has been introduced, indicating that the Daylight Tablet will be equipped with 8GB RAM and a 2.2 GHz processor, and will run the Android 13 system. It also shows that this product will be officially released in May 2024.

The Daylight Tablet is now open for pre-order on its official website . Interested users can pre-order for $100 (the official website states that it is refundable), and the product is priced at $799. In addition, the official website of Daylight Computer Company does not yet have any introduction to this tablet. It only mentions that its base is San Francisco, California, and that they are a public welfare enterprise. We look forward to having more details about this eye protection tablet that boasts new technology in the future, and we will report it to you at that time.
