TRMNL is a new E-Ink display that recently launched a crowdfunding campaign on the Kickstarter platform, aiming to provide users with an interference-free display solution.
TRMNL is equipped with a 7.5-inch black and white E-Ink display and a built-in 1800 mAh battery that can last for 1 to 3 months on a single charge via the Type-C port. The entire monitor weighs only 165 grams and can be easily mounted on the wall or placed on a desk using its rear bracket without the need for a power cord.
TRMNL's design concept is simple and efficient. Users only need to perform simple WiFi settings to start using it and synchronize various applications and information. TRMNL requires no subscription fees or apps and displays a variety of content including sports scores, stock quotes, shopping cart sales data, news headlines, weather forecasts, calendar reminders and more. The display supports OTA (Over-the-Air) updates, which means new features can be pushed directly to the device without the need for user login or manual updates.

TRMNL also has a Developer version, which comes with an open API for developers to create more applications and further expand the functionality of the device. This openness makes TRMNL not just a monitor, but a multi-functional data display platform.
On the Kickstarter platform , TRMNL has gained more than 700 backers in just a few days, making it quite popular. At this stage, backers can pre-order the monitor at an early bird price of $99, with shipments expected to begin in August 2024.
