New E-Ink product: Sharp will mass-produce the ePoster color e-paper display next month and sell it in Japan

( Portal ) After several months of development, Sharp announced in early August that the ePoster color e-paper display EP-C251 and EP-C131 are available for selection. (Since Sharp did not indicate which E-Ink color technology is used, it may be E-Ink Spectra 6 according to the parameters)

EP-C251 is equipped with a 25.3-inch color electronic paper display with a ratio of 16:9, a resolution of 3200x1800, and weighs about 1.9 kg; EP-C131 is a 13.3-inch display with a ratio of 4:3, a resolution of 1600x1200, and weighs about 700 grams . Both ePosters have built-in 8GB memory, and users can connect to the display via WiFi, Bluetooth or USB-C cable to update the displayed content. If Sharp's digital signage content management system is adopted, multiple monitors can be operated simultaneously to switch content and refresh.

In particular, Sharp's new ePoster only supports the display of static images and does not support playback of heavy images. And because of the characteristics of E-Ink, even if the power is turned off, the image displayed by ePoster can still be maintained. This feature is of great significance for outdoor advertising boards, because it can greatly save energy, especially suitable for those with limited or inconvenient power supply. The place.

In addition, since both monitors have the same thin and light design, they are easy to install. This means merchants and advertisers can easily place it in various venues, providing more flexibility and convenience.

According to information released by Sharp, EP-C251 will be officially launched in the Japanese market at the end of October this year, with a monthly output of 500 pieces; EP-C131 will be launched at the end of September this year, with a monthly output of 700 pieces. The product has not yet officially priced.
