New E-Ink Products: Hisense Smart Refrigerator, the future home appliance equipped with E Ink Prism™ 3

Another manufacturer has chosen to adopt E Ink Prism™ 3 color-changing electronic paper, and it is a must-have home appliance for every household.

Hisense exhibited a futuristic new smart refrigerator at the 2024 Shanghai Electronics World Expo. This refrigerator is equipped with an E Ink Prism™ 3 panel in the upper right corner. This e-paper display is seamlessly integrated with the surface of the refrigerator, and its existence is almost imperceptible unless the display is activated. Once activated, the vertically placed E Ink panel will display a variety of information. The current demo shows weather information, including the temperature and whether it is sunny or cloudy outside.

As can be seen from the short video released by Hisense, the E Ink panel can not only display basic weather information, but its exquisite graphic design makes this space more vivid. However, the display currently does not have interactive functions, which means users cannot make selections, such as making ice quickly or adjusting the cooling speed of the freezer. At least these features are not visible in the public footage so far. We will continue to pay attention and provide the latest information on whether the mass-produced version of this refrigerator will include more interactive information displays.

The smart refrigerator launched by Hisense this time extends the application of E Ink technology to the field of daily household appliances, adding a sense of technology to the product, and is expected to improve the user experience. Whether this refrigerator with E Ink Prism™ 3 display can be mass-produced and even lead the development of home appliances needs to be further verified by the market.

I wonder what products E Ink Prism color-changing electronic paper will appear on next?
